When you engage Menzies Lawyers, we are upfront and transparent about how we charge. When we work with you, we want you to be comfortable and confident with the way we work. Your Costs Agreement

Menzies Legal are committed to 100% transparency.

That’s why we’ll fully inform you about the estimated costs of our legal services from the start. We’ll also communicate with you, the relevant payment arrangements that apply to your case.

You’ll also receive a clear explanation, in writing, of how our fees are calculated. This is called a Disclosure Statement and Costs Agreement.

Life Planning Package
Standard Will, Enduring Power of Attorney and Appointment of Medical Decision Maker – $1,000 (incl GST).

The above fixed fees are for standard documents only and include the initial consultation, preparation of the document, witnessing (or instructions for signing), sending of Statements of Acceptance to appointed Attorneys and Medical Decision Makers and provision of copies of final documents.

If your situation is more complex, we will provide you with an estimate of fees before commencing work.

Likewise, if you require more than one document and would prefer to get all your life planning and estate planning documents out of the way at once, we can tailor a fixed fee package for your situation.

Disbursements (Important)

We offer ‘No Win, No Fee’ when we believe your personal injury or superannuation income protection or total and permanent disability) case is likely to be successful.

‘No Win, No Fee’ applies to our professional fees. These are the fees we charge for work performed by us.

But, in most cases, ‘disbursements’ must be paid by you – regardless of the outcome. A disbursement is the out of pocket expenses we pay to other people. For example, obtaining medical records and reports or expert reports.
